Love it, love the comments.

If the "Good News" in caps is a 10-20 minute presentation of soteriology then what was Jesus always speaking when he went from village to village all the way from Mark chapter 1? Obviously we all need to expand our ideas of what the good news is - polarization is the Devils idea because it leads to division. We need to embrace, live and proclaim every biblical aspect of the good news - and thats a lot of ground to cover!

I have been following your 5 things, and, as a converted Muslim, I am totally on track with you on this on in particular. So many times, we OVER-share, and OVER-teach the Gospel. To a point - we try to give a person ALL instead of providing them a part.

It took Jesus, Himself, 3 1/2 years to teach the 12 disciples how to become the 11 apostles. It took Jesus 3+ years to get them his chosen 3 disciples to go from where he found them to where they needed to be when he died. Why do we think we can do in 15-20 minutes what it took Jesus 3+ years to do? Why do we not understand it takes time for people's minds and hearts to be changed by God's word and the Holy Spirit?

Jesus took time to touch people. Just to touch them. Why don't we see if we want to change the world, we need to be willing to give people our time?

I can see how learning to love our enemies better requires us to follow Jesus more closely. Also, if we love our enemies better, won't we also be able to love our friends, family, and neighbors betters as well?

It seems that sharing some good news and being real/authentic (not just being nice so that we can give our 15 min "talk") gives us the opportunity to respond when the Holy Spirit softens their heart and gives them ears to hear. Then, they will be able to hear and recieve the good news. ... Shouldn't we love people because Jesus did? Jesus hung out with the poor, outcasts, and sinners. People who were considered enemies of the social and religious elite. Should we do any less?

It seems easier for me to love a person who doesn't know Jesus (but who's being real) than a "religous" person who claims to be a Christan but doesn't follow/obey Jesus's teachings. Yet, I'm called to love them too.
