It was about 17 years ago that we left our oldest on the floor of the gymnasium where she was registering for college. She was in tears, we were in tears. The 13 hour drive home was so long and so tearful. This was the first of 3 departures where I felt as though my heart would literally break.

In retrospect it is okay! God prepared the way, was there in the way and still is in the lives of these kids.

For years Labor Day choked my heart! That was the weekend when college began and it continued to be a painful memory even when all three were married!

Thanks for sharing your story and may you continue to see God in the lives of your children!
